LabelStack

Terms and Privacy Policy

This page sets out the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy for the LabelStack platform ("the Platform"), including the LabelStack mobile app. By creating an account, signing in, uploading content, or collaborating on the Platform, you agree to these terms and acknowledge this privacy policy.

Terms and Conditions

1. Ownership of User Generated Content (UGC)

We believe creators should own their work.

  • Authorship: You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to any text, images, audio, files, and data you upload ("UGC"), including pre-release artwork and music. LabelStack claims no ownership or authorship over your creations.
  • Limited License: By using the Platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content only as necessary to provide the service (this is needed to show your work to the collaborators you have invited to your projects, and to deliver messenger content to intended recipients).

2. The "No AI Training" Guarantee

Your creative data is not our training data.

  • Non-Usage Policy: LabelStack will not use your audio files or images you upload to train, fine-tune, or develop generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, machine learning algorithms, or similar technologies.
  • Human-to-Human Focus: Our infrastructure is designed for collaboration, not data harvesting. Your artistic and intellectual output remains yours and will not be ingested into any automated creative engine.

3. Risks and User Responsibilities

Hosting and sharing content involves inherent risks. By using the Platform, you acknowledge:

  • Security of Shared Spaces: While we provide tools to limit access to selected parties, you are responsible for the conduct of the people you invite. LabelStack is not liable for how your invited collaborators use, download, or distribute your UGC.
  • Content Accuracy: We do not pre-screen or validate UGC. You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload the content and that it does not violate any third-party copyrights. Pre-release and pre-copyright-protection materials remain your responsibility to protect and share appropriately.
  • Data Loss: While we perform regular backups, the Platform is not a permanent storage or archiving service. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of your work.

4. Indemnification & Limitation of Liability

  • User Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold LabelStack harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your breach of these terms or any content you upload that violates the rights of another party.
  • "As-Is" Service: The Platform is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LabelStack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

5. Acceptable Use

To maintain a safe environment, you agree not to:

  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or malware.
  • Use the platform for illegal activities or to harass other users.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the Platform's infrastructure.
  • Share content you do not have rights to share, including others' copyrighted material without authorization.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform if these terms are violated. Upon termination, your license to us ceases, though archived copies may persist in our system backups for a limited period as required by technical safety protocols.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LabelStack accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares personal and sensitive user data in connection with the LabelStack web and mobile applications. It applies to all users who sign in with an email address and use features such as project collaboration, messaging, and uploading artwork or music files.

1. Who we are

LabelStack provides collaboration tools for music and creative projects, including shared workspaces, file storage for pre-release artwork and audio, and a messenger for user-to-user communication. The developer named in the Google Play store listing for LabelStack is the controller of personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect and process

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect and process:

  • Account data: Email address and authentication information used to create and sign in to your account. Sign-in is required to use the app.
  • Profile data: Name, display name, profile cards, photos, bios, and related profile information you choose to provide.
  • User-generated content (UGC): Artwork, music and audio files (including pre-release / pre-copyright-protection materials), lyrics, project and song metadata, comments, and other files you upload or create.
  • Messenger data: Messages you send or receive, including text and images shared user-to-user, plus related metadata such as timestamps and conversation participants.
  • Device and notification data: Push notification tokens and related device identifiers needed to deliver notifications on mobile devices, when you enable them.
  • Usage and technical data: App activity needed to operate the service, IP address, browser or device type, and diagnostic or crash information used to keep the service reliable and secure.

3. How we use data

We use this data to:

  • Create and authenticate your account
  • Provide collaboration features (projects, songs, file hosting, sharing with invited collaborators)
  • Operate the messenger, including delivering text and image messages to intended recipients
  • Send transactional email and push notifications you enable
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
  • Comply with legal obligations when required

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your UGC (artwork, audio, or messenger images) to train generative AI models.

4. How data is shared

We share data only as needed to run the service:

  • Other users: Content and messages you send are shared with the collaborators or conversation participants you choose. Project UGC is visible to members of the workspaces you join or invite others into.
  • Service providers: We use processors that help us operate LabelStack, including authentication (Clerk), cloud file storage (Amazon Web Services / S3), email delivery (Resend), mobile push delivery (Expo), and error monitoring (Sentry). These providers process data on our instructions and for service functionality.
  • Legal / business: We may disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction with notice where legally required.

5. Security

We handle personal and sensitive user data using industry-standard safeguards, including transmitting data over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricting access to systems that store account, messenger, and UGC data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you should only invite trusted collaborators to pre-release materials.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain account, messenger, and UGC data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Backups may retain copies for a limited period after deletion for operational safety.

If your account supports sign-in on LabelStack, you can request permanent deletion of your account and associated data. Deletion instructions and what gets removed are described here: Delete your account. Account freezing is not used as a substitute for deletion.

7. Children

LabelStack is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us using the details below so we can delete it.

8. Your choices and privacy inquiries

  • You can update profile information in the app or web settings.
  • You can disable push notifications in your device or app settings.
  • You can request account and data deletion via /account/deletion.
  • For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@labelstack.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
